Who I Am
Hi 👋, I’m Shankar, an AI-first Technical Product Builder. I turn a deep understanding of ambiguous customer problems into structured strategies and prototypes that align stakeholders, and ultimately into intuitive products people trust and adopt.
Over 6 years at Microsoft Azure and AWS, I’ve helped shape hyperscale cloud platforms where every decision balances performance, reliability, cost, and customer needs. My work has ranged from scaling Azure Storage to 1Tbps and 200K IOPS to identifying Amazon S3 cost-optimization opportunities with up to 40% savings potential. I’m currently iterating on v3 of StreakFit AI, a personalized gym buddy shaped by insights from 30+ customer interviews.
Outside work, I’m usually training my body and mind at the gym, chasing beautiful trails across the Pacific Northwest, or musing on the forces that shape how people think and act.
What I’ve Been Building
A snapshot of a few products and prototypes I’ve built, tested, and shaped across AI, consumer, and community experiences.
StreakFit AI
Discovered 3 student fitness pain points through 6 hypothesis-driven interviews; built a 0-to-1 personalized AI gym buddy MVP in 3 hours at the OpenAI Codex Hackathon; now targeting a broader release and iterating on v3 with AI features including check-ins, a conversational chatbot, and in-app nudges.
HeyLily AI Scam-Call Defender
Led an 11-member cross-functional team across design, engineering, and business to build HeyLily, a Hiya competitor and AI scam-call defender for seniors. Guided development of an android call app, and crafted a 5-year B2B2C go-to-market model.
